Login Issues

Can't Sign In

Symptoms: Login button doesn't work, error message appears

Solutions:

  1. Check your email — Make sure you're using the correct email address
  2. Reset password — Click "Forgot Password" on the login page
  3. Clear browser cache — Old data can cause issues
  4. Try incognito mode — Rules out browser extension conflicts
  5. Try a different browser — Eliminates browser-specific issues

Google Sign-In Not Working

Symptoms: Google popup doesn't appear or closes immediately

Solutions:

  1. Allow popups — Your browser might be blocking the Google popup
  2. Disable ad blockers — Some block authentication popups
  3. Check Google account — Make sure you're signed into Google
  4. Try email login — Use email/password as an alternative

Email Verification Not Received

Symptoms: Signed up but no verification email

Solutions:

  1. Check spam folder — Verification emails sometimes land there
  2. Wait a few minutes — Email delivery can be delayed
  3. Resend verification — Click "Resend" on the verification page
  4. Check email address — Make sure you typed it correctly
  5. Contact support — We can manually verify if needed

Dashboard Issues

Apps Not Loading

Symptoms: Dashboard shows loading spinner indefinitely

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page — Simple but often works
  2. Check internet connection — LimitLog requires connectivity
  3. Clear browser cache — Corrupted cache can cause issues
  4. Try a different browser — Rules out browser problems
  5. Check our status — We'll post if there's an outage

Changes Not Saving

Symptoms: Updates don't persist after refresh

Solutions:

  1. Wait a moment — Changes save automatically but may take a second
  2. Check for errors — Look for error messages on screen
  3. Refresh and retry — Sometimes a fresh page helps
  4. Check internet — Saves require connectivity
  5. Try logging out and back in — Refreshes your session

Usage Not Updating

Symptoms: +1 button or direct edit doesn't change the number

Solutions:

  1. Click and wait — Give it a moment to save
  2. Refresh the page — Check if it actually saved
  3. Check the edit modal — Try updating through the full edit form
  4. Clear browser cache — Old JavaScript can cause issues

Display Issues

Page Looks Broken

Symptoms: Layout is wrong, elements overlapping

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page — Clears any rendering issues
  2. Clear cache — Old CSS can cause display problems
  3. Update browser — Older browsers may not support all features
  4. Disable extensions — Some extensions modify page layout
  5. Try a different browser — Isolates the issue

Dark Mode Not Working

Symptoms: Theme toggle doesn't change colors

Solutions:

  1. Click the toggle again — Sometimes needs a second click
  2. Refresh the page — Applies the theme properly
  3. Check system settings — LimitLog may follow your OS theme
  4. Clear cache — Old theme data can persist

Mobile Layout Issues

Symptoms: Page doesn't fit screen, elements cut off

Solutions:

  1. Rotate device — Try portrait and landscape
  2. Zoom out — Pinch to zoom out if zoomed in
  3. Refresh — Clears any rendering issues
  4. Update browser — Mobile browsers need updates too

Payment Issues

Payment Failed

Symptoms: Card declined, payment error

Solutions:

  1. Check card details — Verify number, expiry, CVV
  2. Ensure sufficient funds — Check your balance
  3. Try another card — Your bank might be blocking it
  4. Contact your bank — They may have flagged the transaction
  5. Try PayPal/Apple Pay — Alternative payment methods

Charged But Not Upgraded

Symptoms: Payment went through but still on Free plan

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page — Subscription status may need to update
  2. Sign out and back in — Refreshes your account data
  3. Wait 5 minutes — Payment processing can take a moment
  4. Check email — Look for confirmation from Stripe
  5. Contact support — We can verify and fix manually

Double Charged

Symptoms: Charged twice for the same period

Solutions:

  1. Check billing history — Verify it's actually a duplicate
  2. Contact support immediately — We'll investigate and refund
  3. Provide details — Send us dates and amounts

Data Issues

Apps Disappeared

Symptoms: Previously added apps are gone

Solutions:

  1. Check filters — You might have a filter active
  2. Check favorites toggle — "Favorites Only" might be on
  3. Search for the app — It might just be scrolled out of view
  4. Check subscription — Free plan only shows 5 apps
  5. Contact support — If data is truly missing, we can investigate

Wrong Usage Numbers

Symptoms: Usage doesn't match what you entered

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page — Get the latest data
  2. Check for auto-reset — Your usage may have reset automatically
  3. Verify in edit modal — See the actual stored value
  4. Check history — Did someone else update it? (future team feature)

Reset Date Wrong

Symptoms: Usage reset at the wrong time

Solutions:

  1. Check your reset date setting — It might be set incorrectly
  2. Verify billing cycle — Make sure it matches your actual subscription
  3. Edit and correct — Update the reset date to the right value

Performance Issues

Page Loading Slowly

Symptoms: Dashboard takes a long time to load

Solutions:

  1. Check internet speed — Slow connection affects loading
  2. Clear browser cache — Old data can slow things down
  3. Close other tabs — Free up browser resources
  4. Try a different browser — Some are faster than others
  5. Disable extensions — They can slow page loading

Browser Freezing

Symptoms: Browser becomes unresponsive on LimitLog

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page — Clears any stuck processes
  2. Close and reopen browser — Fresh start
  3. Clear cache and cookies — Removes problematic data
  4. Update browser — Older versions may have bugs
  5. Check extensions — Disable and test
