LimitLog uses an intuitive color system to help you understand your usage status at a glance. No need to do mental math — just look at the colors.
Color-Coded Alerts
Understand LimitLog's visual alert system for tracking usage status.
Green — Safe Zone (0-70%)
When you see green, you're in good shape:
- Plenty of headroom remaining
- No action needed
- Use your subscription freely
Yellow — Caution Zone (70-90%)
Yellow means it's time to be mindful:
- You're using your subscription well
- Start being conscious of usage
- Consider if you need to slow down
Red — Warning Zone (90%+)
Red indicates you're approaching or at your limit:
- Very little headroom left
- Risk of hitting your limit
- May need to wait for reset or upgrade
How It Looks on Cards
Here's how the colors appear on actual app cards at different usage levels:
The color applies to:
- Progress bar — The main visual indicator
- Usage text — The numbers also change color
- Remaining count — Shows how much is left
Card Styling
In some views, the entire card may have subtle styling changes:
- Border color hints
- Background tinting
- Icon emphasis
Why These Thresholds?
70% — Early Warning
We chose 70% as the first threshold because:
- Gives you 30% buffer
- Time to adjust behavior
- Prevents surprise overages
90% — Urgent Warning
The 90% threshold signals urgency:
- Only 10% remaining
- High risk of hitting limit
- Immediate attention needed
Customizing Thresholds
Currently, LimitLog uses fixed thresholds (70% and 90%) that work well for most users. Custom thresholds are on our roadmap for future updates.
