Managing Your Subscription

Learn how to manage your LimitLog subscription, update billing, and handle cancellations.

Everything you need to know about managing your LimitLog subscription.

Accessing Subscription Settings

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right
  2. Select Settings
  3. Go to the Subscription tab

Here you'll see:

  • Your current plan (Free or Pro)
  • Billing cycle (if Pro)
  • Next billing date
  • Payment method

Updating Payment Method

Change Your Card

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. Select Payment Methods
  4. Add a new card or update existing
  5. Set as default if desired

Remove a Card

  1. Go to Manage Billing
  2. Select Payment Methods
  3. Click the card to remove
  4. Confirm removal

Note: You must have at least one valid payment method for active subscriptions.

Viewing Billing History

Access Invoices

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. Select Billing History

Download Invoices

Click any invoice to:

  • View details
  • Download as PDF
  • Print for records

Invoices are useful for:

  • Expense reporting
  • Tax documentation
  • Business reimbursement

Changing Your Plan

Upgrade to Pro

Switch Billing Cycle

Change between monthly and yearly:

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select your preferred cycle
  4. Confirm the change

Monthly to Yearly: You're credited for unused time and charged the yearly rate.

Yearly to Monthly: Takes effect at your next renewal date.

Downgrade to Free

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

Your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period.

How to Cancel

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Optionally tell us why (helps us improve)
  4. Confirm cancellation

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Immediate: Nothing changes yet
  • End of billing period: Account reverts to Free
  • Your data: All data is preserved
  • Apps over limit: Hidden but not deleted

Reactivating

Changed your mind? Before your period ends:

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Reactivate
  3. Your subscription continues normally

After your period ends:

  1. Simply upgrade again
  2. All your data and apps are restored

Refunds

Refund Policy

We offer refunds in certain situations:

  • Within 7 days: Full refund, no questions asked
  • Technical issues: If you couldn't use the service
  • Billing errors: Duplicate charges, wrong amounts

Requesting a Refund

Email support@limitlog.com with:

  • Your account email
  • Reason for refund request
  • Date of charge

We typically respond within 24 hours.

What's Not Refundable

  • Partial month usage (after 7 days)
  • Yearly plans after 30 days
  • If you've used the service extensively

Account Deletion

Deleting Your Account

If you want to completely remove your account:

  1. Go to Settings > Account
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Confirm by typing your email
  5. Click Permanently Delete

What Gets Deleted

  • Your profile and settings
  • All tracked apps
  • Notes and tasks
  • Billing information

What's Not Recoverable

Account deletion is permanent. We cannot restore:

  • Your data
  • Your subscription history
  • Your custom apps

Before Deleting

Consider:

  • Exporting your data first (Pro feature)
  • Canceling subscription (keeps data, stops billing)
  • Just not using it (free accounts have no cost)

Common Questions

Will I lose my data if I cancel?

No. Canceling your subscription keeps all your data. You just revert to the Free plan limits.

Can I pause my subscription?

Not currently. You can cancel and resubscribe later — your data will be waiting.

What if my payment fails?

We'll notify you and retry a few times. Your access continues during this grace period. Update your payment method to avoid interruption.

Can I get a receipt for my employer?

Yes! All invoices are available in your billing portal and can be downloaded as PDFs.
