Adding Your First App

Adding apps to LimitLog is quick and easy. You can choose from our pre-built library or create custom apps for any service you use.

Adding from the App Library

The fastest way to add an app is from our curated library of 50+ popular SaaS tools.

Step 1: Open the Add App Modal

Click the + Add App button in the top-right corner of your dashboard. This opens the app selection modal.

Step 2: Browse or Search

You can find apps in two ways:

• Browse by category — Filter by AI, Developer, Design, Productivity, and more
• Search by name — Type the app name to find it instantly

Step 3: Select Your App

Click on an app to select it. You'll see:

• App name and logo
• Default usage limits (e.g., "500 fast requests per month")
• Suggested pricing information

Step 4: Customize (Optional)

Before adding, you can customize:

• Usage limit — Adjust the limit to match your plan
• Current usage — Enter how much you've already used this period
• Price — Update to match what you're paying
• Billing cycle — Set monthly or yearly billing
• Reset date — When your usage limit resets

Step 5: Add to Dashboard

Click Add App and it appears on your dashboard immediately! Here's what your new app card will look like:

Creating a Custom App

Don't see your app in the library? No problem — create a custom one.

Step 1: Click "Create Custom App"

In the Add App modal, scroll down and click Create Custom App.

Step 2: Enter App Details

Fill in the information:

• App name — The name of your service
• Category — Choose the closest category
• Usage limit — How much you can use (e.g., 1000)
• Usage unit — What you're tracking (e.g., "credits", "API calls", "hours")
• Limit period — Daily, weekly, or monthly
• Price — Your subscription cost
• Color — Pick a brand color for the app card

Step 3: Add to Dashboard

Click Create App and your custom app is ready to track!

Quick Tips

Drag and Drop

You can upload a screenshot of your usage stats directly! Just drag an image onto the Add App modal, and LimitLog will try to extract the usage information automatically.

Favorites

After adding an app, click the star icon to mark it as a favorite. Favorites appear at the top of your dashboard for quick access.

Bulk Adding

Need to add multiple apps? Just repeat the process — it only takes a few seconds per app.
